We’ve lived in our house for nearly 25 years, and the one room that I never really liked was our dining room. Something just seemed not right with it, and I could never figure out how to make it work. I’m not a shopper, and the thought of going from store to store to select furniture with absolutely no idea as to what would look good was almost more than I could bear! Then I met interior designer Kim Rice. Kim looked at the style of our home and considered the furnishings we had in the other rooms. She carefully took measurements of our dining room and recommended an area rug and furniture that would be in proportion to the room. In addition to a mirror, lamps and decorative items, Kim selected beautiful artwork for the walls. She is energetic, opinionated (in a good way….I really wanted her to give me her honest assessment) and she listened very carefully to me and honored my preferences. The last piece of the project was selecting a chandelier. I absolutely love what we picked. It is the elegant “jewelry” that finishes the room. Now, after 25 years, I can honestly say that I love my dining room, and Kim actually made the whole process fun!
